Bethany was truly the sweetest girl I have ever met. I'd known of her throughout elementary school, and then became better friends when we both went to the NextStop summer theatre camp. In these two weeks I was able to get to know a girl who was always smiling, always lighting up the room. I never heard Bethany say a bad thing about anyone. I remember going over to her house after camp one day, and playing with Bethany in her basement, privileged to get to spend time with her fun and kind personality. Something that I will never forget is when Bethany told me about how she refused to eat tomatoes, because she used to have a pet tomato and didn't want to hurt them. This just shows how pure Bethany was, too pure for this world. Almost a year after Bethany's passing, I still think about her and the Phelps family every single day. As someone who has dealt with the loss of a loved one, I understand how difficult not only one year anniversaries can be, but also the holiday season. My thoughts and prayers are forever with you all.
